Something had happened, Loki thinks. Something must have gone wrong with the Tesseract transportation. Yet Thor was not with him, if the path was diverted Thor would follow due to his proximity alone. Well, best not take any chances, until he's proven otherwise he will assume Thor is somewhere on this world as well and he will simply count his blessings he is not here.

Here is a dense forest, not unlike those he played in as a child. He had been unconscious and that damnable muzzle was still stuck to his face. He tries to pry it free the first chance he gets but to no success. His powers are muted along with his voice. He soon loses track of time as he tries to gain his bearings. He determines this isn't a world he's familiar with though it does seem to share many characteristics with both Asgard and Midgard.

A settlement is his best chance to get the muzzle off. It may be difficult without the use of his mouth to convince the locals they should help him. Perhaps if he made himself appear pathetic enough one of the more soft hearted of them will aide him. Hm, if there are any people living here. He did see something that could be a city when he climbed a tree in the forest. So he travels in that direction.

Eventually, even Asgardians get tired. He finds a place to rest between a large boulder and a fallen tree. A place he may be over looked by anyone or anything merely passing.

A disturbance of mana had come to Lord Yggdrasill's attention, and as his right hand man, Kratos is obligated to hunt down the source. Doing so was of high priority, as the disturbance came from Sylvarant instead of Tethe'alla. Kratos knows Lord Yggdrasill won't take it lightly should harm come to the newest Chosen, especially since she's only a couple of years away from starting her Journey of Regeneration--her journey to become Martel's vessel.

Unfortunately, Kratos has to keep a low profile as he searches so he doesn't cause any disturbance. So far, he's searched for days. The amount of time it's taking seems to be the only true inconvenience, since his body has long since stopped requiring food or rest. Eventually, he finds his way into a small forest near the city of Asgard. From there it doesn't take him long to find Loki, and while it's true that he wouldn't be found by those merely passing through, Kratos is actively seeking out anything off. It doesn't take the seraph long to realize that the resting man before him is likely the cause of the disturbance, the fact that Kratos can't sense any mana from Loki himself is a big tip off.

Ah.

"I mean you no harm."

For the moment, this is the truth. Kratos has no intention of harming the other man until he is given a reason to. Quietly, he questions why this man would be muzzled. However, it's of little importance--just something Kratos could likely use to his advantage if need be.

"I am a traveling mercenary," the words come out seamlessly, a lie that's been told many times as he's led past Chosens to their assured deaths, "my name is Kratos. Are you lost?"
shiningbinds: (blame your fate.)

sorry for lateness again--i probably should have told you that i'm getting back into the groove. :c

Luckily, Kratos is able to pick up on that. He gives Loki a slight nod. As he suspected, this man is what caused the disturbance.

"It's dangerous to stay in places like this for too long," he explains calmly, "Monsters are known to roam here, usually in greater quantities than they do in the fields. If you'd like, I can accompany you to a nearby town."

Hopefully, Loki will be agreeable to this. Kratos does not want any more trouble than is warranted at this point.
