Something had happened, Loki thinks. Something must have gone wrong with the Tesseract transportation. Yet Thor was not with him, if the path was diverted Thor would follow due to his proximity alone. Well, best not take any chances, until he's proven otherwise he will assume Thor is somewhere on this world as well and he will simply count his blessings he is not here.
Here is a dense forest, not unlike those he played in as a child. He had been unconscious and that damnable muzzle was still stuck to his face. He tries to pry it free the first chance he gets but to no success. His powers are muted along with his voice. He soon loses track of time as he tries to gain his bearings. He determines this isn't a world he's familiar with though it does seem to share many characteristics with both Asgard and Midgard.
A settlement is his best chance to get the muzzle off. It may be difficult without the use of his mouth to convince the locals they should help him. Perhaps if he made himself appear pathetic enough one of the more soft hearted of them will aide him. Hm, if there are any people living here. He did see something that could be a city when he climbed a tree in the forest. So he travels in that direction.
Eventually, even Asgardians get tired. He finds a place to rest between a large boulder and a fallen tree. A place he may be over looked by anyone or anything merely passing.

Unfortunately, Kratos has to keep a low profile as he searches so he doesn't cause any disturbance. So far, he's searched for days. The amount of time it's taking seems to be the only true inconvenience, since his body has long since stopped requiring food or rest. Eventually, he finds his way into a small forest near the city of Asgard. From there it doesn't take him long to find Loki, and while it's true that he wouldn't be found by those merely passing through, Kratos is actively seeking out anything off. It doesn't take the seraph long to realize that the resting man before him is likely the cause of the disturbance, the fact that Kratos can't sense any mana from Loki himself is a big tip off.
Ah.
